Our team is responsible for a Yocto-based distribution used internally across the company. We pride ourselves on fostering a collaborative and innovative environment, and we're looking for talented support engineers with a solid Linux background to join our team.
As support engineer, you will be a crucial point of contact for our users, providing expert guidance and solutions to ensure smooth and efficient handling of problems they encounter. You will be part of a tightly knit team of senior engineers who value collaboration and innovation. We operate in a hybrid work model, with most of the team based in Stockholm (Kista).
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues or questions reported by our users.
- Serve as the point of contact for technical staff using our Yocto-based distribution, leading efforts to resolve issues.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure speedy resolution of issues.
- Contribute to improvements in our deliveries based on feedback and support cases.
- Provide relevant data to track and enhance the team's support performance.
- Contribute relevant improvements upstream to the Yocto community.
Qualifications:
- M.S. Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Solution-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional service.
- Solid experience with Linux, both as a user and developer.
- Experience working with Yocto and supporting complex technical products.
- Proficiency with tracking systems such as Bugzilla and Jira.
- Familiarity with open-source community norms and behaviors.
- Strong communication skills in written and spoken English.
Location: Stockholm (Kista), with flexibility for other cities in Sweden.
