Working here, you’ll feel part of a family that is dedicated to making a difference and helping others. **WHAT YOU'LL DO:** + Material supply to production areas and related activities + Incoming material receipt and storage + GMP cleaning + Other duties as assigned by leadership Major Responsibilities: + Supply materials in a timely manner to the customer + Assist in the unloading of various materials + Effectively utilize the MITS (Material Inventory Tracking System) to locate and deliver items based on FEFO (First Expiration, First Out) + Effectively utilize MITS to accurately scan materials when moved – materials are in the location they are scanned to + Must be able to read a production schedule and use to anticipate the needs of the customer + Drive a fork lift safely and effectively, moving a variety of load types, using various storage methods (stacking, drive-in racks, push back racks, etc) without damage to material or facility + Understand and adhere to all storage requirements including allergen, plastics, oils, etc. + Ability to work OT during the week and on weekends **WHAT YOU'LL BRING** High School Diploma/GED required Background: + Prior fork lift experience or the ability to quickly learn the skill + Work in a fast-paced production environment ideal + Good communication skills + Safety a priority + Understanding of cGMP’s (current good manufacturing practices) + Flexibility in thinking and duties + Ability to self-direct work + Ability to multi-task Accountability/Scope/Budget: Material Control is responsible for the total material function at the Sturgis plant including planning and procurement, receiving, storage of all inbound items and their movement through the plant; production line support; production scheduling and finished product storage. **Learn more about our benefits that add real value to your life to help you live fully:** www.abbottbenefits.com (http://www.abbottbenefits.com/pages/candidate.aspx) Follow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that provides the growth and strength to build your future.
