SCOPE\nThe incumbent in this position is responsible for the safety and security of our guests at the poolside.
\n
Key ResponsibilitiesMAIN RESPONSIBILITIES\nResponsible for the safety of guests and employees that are inside the designated swimming areas (beach/pool) during the posted business hours.\nMust be a certified Life Guard of any of the world Life Guard Associations and of active status.\nArtificial Resuscitation (mouth-to-mouth)\nCardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)\nResponsible for keeping the designated and marked swimming areas free of any engine is driven a boat or alike, windsurfers or sea bikes (pedals).\nResponsible for keeping swimmers/snorkelers out of boat tracks or any other hazardous area.\nResponsible for responding to any emergency within the hotel swimming area/pool area.\nResponsible for the safety set-up at the beach/pool which includes:\nSet up of the life-saving floatation devices along the shoreline/around the pool.\nCorrect flag (colors) must be put up during business hours.\nRescue Surfboard/Boat ready on the shoreline.\nFirst Aid Kit at the beach/pool chair/post.\nPosting of business hours.\nThe depth of the pool (s).\nWater & Air Temperatures.\nWind force/Wind speed\nResponsible that there is a rescue boat with engine available at all times.\nResponsible for the logging in and logging out of the windsurfers, sailing boats and number of crew and sea bikes and number of crew. Ensures that these activities are executed in the designated areas.\nMonitors / observes and controls the windsurfers, sailors, and sea bikes while out on the sea. Supervise and organizes the rescue of windsurfers, sailing boat or sea bikes if needed.\nResponsible for ensuring that all Water Sports activities or Pool Activities are executed according to the Security Rules.\nResponsible for a temporary replacement while going to the bathroom and for lunch or breaks etc.\nPerform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve overall objectives of this position.\nUnderstand and strictly adhere to the Rules & Regulations established in the Employees Handbook and the Hotel’s policy on Fire, Hygiene, Health & Safety.\nEnsure that all potential and real hazards are reported and rectified immediately.\nPerform any other duties as assigned to them by management.\nAdditional responsibilities and tasks can be added at any time according to the needs of the business and of the hotel.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise\nNATIONALITY: Eligible for a working permit in country of hire.
\n\nEXPERIENCE: Minimum 1-2 year work experience in a similar position, preferably in a 5-star International hotel.
TECHNICAL SKILLS: Strong swimming skill and good working knowledge health club and swimming pool operation.
