The Legal & Compliance team at Novo Nordisk will play a crucial role in ensuring the company’s business goals are met and in compliance with government regulations for the best practice. This position directly reports to the Director - Legal, Compliance, and Quality Assurance (LCQ).
The Position
In this role, you will serve as legal and compliance counsel the department and provide assistant to all departments as well as proactively drive risk management processes and initiatives to secure compliance by design and strategic integration of ethics in decision making in the affiliate and implement adequate mitigations action. The main scope of accountabilities includes but not limited to:
• Drafting, reviewing, negotiating and amending contracts for all Commercial Business Units (BUs) and other related functions. Development of the Coupa Contract Management System, getting used to the Coupa system, always being updated with NN template revisions.
• Review and provide day-to-day legal & compliance advice/guidance regarding all business activities where necessary to identify and mitigate non-compliance with all related local laws and PReMA Code as well as approve and revise promotional materials for assigned Commercial BUs.
• Review any potential legal/product liability related to all products issues against local regulation. Prevention and handling disputes from competitors, customers and business partners for all departments. Handling legal & compliance issues from government authorities as well as assist legal, compliance and privacy and data protection matters assigned by LCQ director.
• Develop, implement, and continuously evaluate and update Company Business Ethics for the Compliance Strategy and Plan to effectively drive Business Ethics compliance and ensure mitigation of key risks.
• Assist in establishing the best practice for Business Ethics (BE) and the local Code of Conduct as required. Track industry trends, news and activities relating to compliance and provide updates/reports to NNPT management and APAC LCQ. Conduct Compliance training to related parties and ensure all mandatory trainings are taken across the affiliate.
• Being in the field and/or attending business events (hybrid scheme) which are essential for a comprehensive understanding of operations, more effective oversight and support.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or Master of business laws is preferable. Attorney at Law is required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a legal role.
• Having a strong expertise in pharmaceutical regulations and law with good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Persuasive, passionate and energetic in assigned tasks. Self-motivated and capable of proactively driving the legal and compliance agenda.
• Thai native speaking with good English communication.
