**Lead Maintenance Technician, 1st shift**
**Location: Exton, PA (USA)**
**Onsite (Monday - Friday 7:00AM -3:30PM)**
As a **Lead Maintenance** **Technician** , and under supervision, you will be called upon to perform any and all duties consistent with assuring that dsm-firmenich products are of consistent and high quality. You will do this by assuming responsibility for set-up, repair, and maintenance of manufacturing tooling and their related equipment while maintaining a clean, secure, and safe work environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with electrical, electronics, an EPA certification, experience with freeze dryers and mechanical aptitude. dsm-firmenich Biomedical is the world’s unrivaled biomaterials expert and committed partner in driving sustainable innovation in healthcare.

**Responsibilities:**
+ Install, set up, repair, and maintain new and existing manufacturing tooling and equipment.
+ Develop and update maintenance procedures, as necessary.
+ Work with manufacturing personnel to trouble shoot manufacturing process problems.
+ Read & understand refrigeration schematics & electrical ladder diagrams.
+ Performs work related activities using advanced knowledge of VOM, Amperage Meter, refrigeration related testing/recovery/charging equipment.
+ Performs work related activities using advanced knowledge of PLC controls.
+ Performs work related activities using advanced knowledge of scope & usage of General Work Permitting Procedures & Processes.
+ Performs work related activities using advanced knowledge of plumbing, electrical & HVAC systems.

**You bring:**
+ High school diploma or equivalent required/ Two-year technical degree preferred.
+ 3-5 years’ active refrigeration experience required. (Medical Device manufacturing or GMP related industry preferred. Also, medical materials/chemical manufacturing strongly preferred)
+ Mastery of Freeze Drying equipment operation, maintenance, and repair.
+ Advanced knowledge of plumbing, electrical & HVAC systems.
+ Advanced knowledge of Process DI, & treatment water systems.
+ Advanced knowledge of VOM, Amperage Meter, refrigeration related testing/recovery/charging equipment.
+ Advanced knowledge of various power & hand tools; wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers, pliers, etc.
+ Advanced knowledge of PLC controls, plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems.
+ Advanced knowledge of scope & usage of General Work Permitting Procedures & Processes.
+ Proficient written & oral communication skills + computer literacy.
+ Working knowledge of NFPA-70E and NEC Code as it relates to electrical installations, repairs, and safety.
