Lead Configuration Management Analyst

Overview
The ITAM Team is looking for a Lead Configuration Management Analyst who will be responsible for the identification processes and working in conjunction with partners including Architecture, Platforms, Portfolio Delivery, Risk, Security, Operational Resilience and Data Science to ensure all of our assets and configuration item records are governed accurately and consistently. The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic acceptance, identification, storage, and withdrawal of all supported configuration items both from production and from the CMDB platform.
Role and responsibilities
This role is within the IT Asset Management team and will work with other VLL and Mastercard functions such as Architecture, Platforms, Portfolio Delivery, Risk, Security, Operational Resilience and Data Science. Responsibilities include:

•\tThe candidate will be accountable for the governance of configuration items and their data record in the ITSM platform (BMC Remedy Helix).
•\tThe configuration management lead will be responsible for chairing the Configuration Control Board and working with the service management teams to promote data integrity and governance around our critical assets. The candidate will require a good understanding of how the data protects assets critical to the delivery of Mastercard products and services.
•\tThe candidate will have a strong background in ITSM and understanding the complexities of change management and how we manage and maintain records correctly.
•\tThe candidate will be responsible for understanding what infrastructure is needed for the technical asset to function and ensuring that its footprint is captured correctly by the responsible teams by layers of governance and assurance.
•\tThe configuration management lead will be responsible defining KPIs and MPIs on the operation of the CMDB platform and engaging with senior and executive stakeholders.
•\tThe candidate will have an administrative background in the ITSM platform and a clear understanding of BMC Discovery and API functionality in the tooling
•\tThe configuration management lead will be responsible for driving continuous improvement on the ITSM platform and challenging the discrepancies in the data available.

Essential
•\tKnowledge of Configuration Management principles
•\tAbility to organize, manage and work effectively to accomplish multiple high priority tasks
•\tExperience facilitating communication to internal stakeholders and customers
•\tExperience of data modelling, data modelling tools and effective reporting including KPIs and MPIs
•\tA strong background in CMDB orchestration and creation, and engaging with its data consumers and data suppliers
•\tUnderstanding of processes and systems (e.g. IT Asset Management, Technology Lifecycles, Change Portfolio, Security etc.)
•\tExperience of BMC Remedy, and integrations
•\tExperience in the Payments Industry and some understanding of one or more payments systems
•\tAbility to identify inefficient processes and propose enhancements
•\tIndustry knowledge on UK regulatory requirements
•\tExcellent interpersonal skills including facilitation, negotiation, collaboration and influencing
•\tStrong stakeholder management skills
•\tStrong analytical and problem-solving skills
•\tTeamwork and coaching
•\tHigh degree of self-organisation
•\tReporting automation capabilities
•\tExposure to external reporting tools such as PowerBI, Graffana,
•\tPrevious exposure to OEM tooling integrations (APIs) and an understanding of the operational requirements to implement them
