Job Description:
To provide strategic direction and functional leadership for Pet Nutrition LATAM Scientific and Regulatory Affairs. To work in partnership with LATAM Operating Entities (OEs) to define priorities relating to maintaining and extending freedom to operate, identifying and managing regulatory risks and opportunities, and supporting key growth strategies.
What are we looking for?Science graduate in a technical subject ideally related to food science/technology, health & nutrition, veterinary science or another biological science.Extensive experience of food industry regulations (pet/human), and of engaging with, and influencing, regulatory and trade organisations.Experience of Scientific and Regulatory Affairs functional strategy development and implementation.Experience of programme management and a strong track record of delivery.Experience in line management and building high performing teams.What will be your key responsibilities?Develop and implement a Scientific and Regulatory (S&RA) strategy for the LATAM region, aligned with LATAM OE business needs (Mexico, Brazil, South LATAM).To work in partnership with LATAM Operating Entities (OEs) to define priorities and programmes relating to maintaining and extending freedom to operate, identifying and managing regulatory risks and opportunities, and supporting key growth strategies.Represent Pet Nutrition LATAM interests with key regulatory bodies across multiple markets, influencing evolving regulatory landscapes, processes and decision-making.Represent Pet Nutrition LATAM in key internal and external forums, including Mars Global Regulatory Affairs community , trade associations, conferences and seminars, and external.Optimise and alignment Scientific & Regulatory Affairs processes and practices across OE’s.
