Key Account Manager

The Key Account Manager will drive higher education business in Singapore by developing strategic partnerships, maximising market share, and securing large institutional agreements. This role involves selling Pearson’s learning solutions, expanding client relationships, and identifying new business opportunities in higher education sector.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

Develop and execute sales strategies to drive market share and revenue growth. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, institutions, and stakeholders. Present Pearson’s solutions to potential customers and conduct tailored product demonstrations. Negotiate and close high-value contracts to achieve sales targets.

Client Engagement & Consultation

Act as a trusted advisor for technology and online learning solutions. Understand client needs and provide customized learning solutions. Serve as a liaison between Pearson and the market, ensuring customer satisfaction.

Strategic Planning & Execution

Provide market insights to shape Pearson’s corporate learning solutions. Contribute to bids with ministries and large educational institutions. Track sales performance and ensure accurate CRM data management.

Key Challenges

Adapting to a dynamic, fast-paced market. Managing complex bids with government and educational institutions. Navigating a matrix organization and aligning with internal teams.

Candidate Profile

Skills & Competencies

Self-motivated, target-driven, and proactive. Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and presentation skills. Excellent communication and consultative selling ability. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively. Proficient in digital and multi-media tools.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree required  8+ years of B2B sales experience in solution selling. Proven consultative sales experience with a strong track record of closing deals. Experience in the education or publishing industry (preferred). Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems. Strong IT knowledge and proficiency in Windows, MS Office, and CRM tools. Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) is preferred.
