About this opportunity:

 

We are seeking a dynamic business leader to join our Customer Unit West & Southern Africa (WSA) as the KAM & Head of Cluster South Africa (based in South Africa). This senior leadership role will give you the responsibility for overseeing the sales and business activities across the cluster, with a focus on driving strategic growth and fostering customer success.
As the Head of Cluster Sales, you will be accountable for the end-to-end business within your cluster, managing a team of Sales professionals & country heads, and ensuring that Ericsson meets its financial and customer objectives.

 

What you will do:

 

•    Lead the strategic direction and governance for the countries under the cluster, chairing the countries' governance boards.
•    Drive and own the cluster P&L, ensuring financial targets are met while ensuring the long-term profitability and sustainability of the business.
•    Manage customer accounts across the cluster, ensuring strong business relationships and proactive development of new sales opportunities.
•    Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing sales teams across the cluster, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
•    Collaborate across the CU and the broader Ericsson organization (Business Area, Market Area …) to deliver best-in-class customer experiences and value propositions.
•    Actively contribute to shaping and executing the Cluster Strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and customer needs.
•    Engage with countries’ external stakeholders (Gov, regulators…)

 

The skills you bring:

 

•    Education: Master's degree in Business Administration, Master of Science, or a related field.
•    Experience: 10+ years KAM experience, business development, and negotiations within the Telco industry 
•    10+ years in leadership roles, with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams and driving business growth.
•    Strong knowledge of African markets, with cultural awareness and an understanding of regional dynamics.
•    Financial acumen, along with a strategic, innovative, and creative mindset to address complex business challenges.
•    Excellent problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and the ability to drive results through effective collaboration.
•    Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
•    High integrity, ethics, and a commitment to compliance, with the ability to address and resolve inappropriate behavior when necessary.
