The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a Journeyman Infrastructure Engineer (Network) to support the design, implementation and management of infrastructure supporting the Integrated Strategic Planning and Analysis Network (ISPAN). This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, security and performance of strategic mission systems and access to decision makers. The work location for this position is Omaha, Nebraska. The position is contingent upon award of the United States Strategic Command SCITLS contract.
Responsibilities:
Infrastructure Engineer (Network), Journeyman [ISPAN]:
Installs, configures, and supports network equipment, including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS, and DHCP
Configures firewalls, routing, and switching to maximize network efficiency and security
Maximizes network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting
Performs network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations
Operates and maintains all RBS server, storage, and network infrastructure
Provides A&E support for LAN, WAN, and VoIP infrastructures, and voice and data network systems
Refactors, where necessary, existing infrastructure as code
Possesses and applies expertise on multiple, complex work assignments
Must be willing and able to work rotating shifts (days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays) as required by mission needs
Additional Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned by leadership to meet mission requirements and support USSTRATCOM objectives. Depending on experience and team structure, this role may involve working under direct supervision or potentially providing guidance, training, or supervision to others
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility
5 years of experience in network engineering and infrastructure management
Required 8140 Cert: 671 - Basic; CND or Network+; OR Applicable degree ABET accredited/CAE designated; OR Training AND Additional Cert
Proficiency in networking protocols (TCP/IP, OSPF, etc.) & technologies (VPN, VLAN, etc.)
Experience with network monitoring tools and performance analysis techniques
Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and security

The proposed salary range for this position is:
