The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a Journeyman DevSecOps Engineer specializing in JBoss Middleware supporting USSTRATCOM’s GAP CIE, FSAM, FSR and DSS systems. It is a crucial role in supporting key strategic applications for decision making. This position focuses on implementing and managing JBoss middleware solutions, ensuring secure and efficient deployment of applications. The work location for this position is Omaha, Nebraska. The position is contingent upon award of the United States Strategic Command SCITLS contract.
Responsibilities:
DevSecOps Engineer (Middleware - JBOSS), Journeyman:
Administer and configure JBoss middleware platforms in support of GAP CIE, FSAM, FSR and DSS systems
Optimize performance and reliability of JBoss servers and applications
Collaborates with software engineers to understand and identify critical areas for security implementation in the JBOSS development process
Designs, tests, and implements secure software development practices and standards to improve the security posture for JBOSS
Automates security controls, data protection, and vulnerability management systems in deployment pipelines
Provide tier-2 and tier-3 support for application issues, performing root cause analysis and resolution
Document and communicate technical issues and solutions effectively
Applies approved cybersecurity patches, software, and hardware updates as required for the Rogue Blue Software (RBS)
Provides PKI and/or certificate authority services in support of A&E activities
Supports the Strategic Mission Planning and Execution System (SMPES), identifying ways to close or reduce access issues derived from user and group policies
Possesses and applies expertise on multiple, complex work assignments
Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks
Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems
Additional Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned by leadership to meet mission requirements and support USSTRATCOM objectives. Depending on experience and team structure, this role may involve working under direct supervision or potentially providing guidance, or training
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility
Minimum of 5 years of experience in DevSecOps, with a strong focus on JBoss middleware
Required 8140 Cert: 641 - Basic; FITSP-M or GSEC or CCSP or CFR or SSCP or Security+; OR Applicable degree ABET accredited/CAE designated; OR Training
AND
Additional Cert: Relevant certifications in DevSecOps, cloud technologies, or JBoss middleware preferred
Proficiency in CI/CD tools, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash)
Strong understanding of application security principles and practices
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex technical issues

The proposed salary range for this position is:
