Summary:
Perform building maintenance and troubleshooting to meet or exceed plant and departmental goals. Perform all tasks in a safe manner to ensure the achievement of Quality, Service, GMP and Cost objectives. Comply with all standard operating procedures and requirements under CCR Quality System. Participate in project assignments as necessary. Direct and track contractor needs and activities as directed by management.
Responsibilities include:
Minimum 2 yrs. experience in working knowledge of carpentry, masonry, plumbing, painting, electricity, lighting, and mechanics. Ability to work at heights and ability to work in extreme temperatures (product coolers/freezers to on the roof and outdoors).Able to use various hand and power tools. Ability to carry tools and materials weighing up to 50 lbs. Works with various types of painting; spray paint, roll, brush, and airless sprayer.Proficient with pressure washing and other painting equipment.Reading blueprints/instructions and examining surfaces to determine the kind and amount of work necessaryMust have the ability to work with minimum supervisor and have self-motivation.Making on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures etc.Fluent in verbal and written instructions in EnglishPreparing walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint etc.Covering trim, floors, furniture and other surfaces with masking tape, drop cloths and other protective coverings to keep them free of paintMix paint and other materials to prepare the right color or textureFill cracks and holes with appropriate material (e.g. plaster)Able to work an eight (8), ten (10), or twelve (12) hour shifts as required with overtime or extended hours as necessary and work any shift as directed. Plan and conduct building repairs such as repairing outdoor lighting, doors, drywall, ceiling tiles, etc.Maintaining an inventory of supplies like paint brushes, rollers and tarpsInstall insulation and plastic coverings on product lines and piping, perform light plumbing and repairs. Satisfactorily complete lift training courses and safely operate a forklift and high reach. Plan and perform all facilities build-outs, including framing, hanging and finishing sheetrock, concrete work, floor installation and repair, drop ceiling installation, paneling, roof repairs, changing lights/ballasts, minor electrical wiring/repairs and inspection of electrical panels, etc.Assist facility mechanics in minor mechanical and electrical repair as needed. Contact, work with facilities maintenance personnel, vendors/contractors to complete tasks.Perform facility preventative maintenance programs as directed. Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to track all work. Participate in department training programs.Perform all essential job skills (functions) affecting quality according to Company quality procedures, work instructions and standards as identified for this position.Keep all work areas clean and maintain Good Manufacturing Practices.Requirements and skills:
Excellent knowledge of painting material and how to select, mix and apply themSolid knowledge of commercial and/or construction painting techniquesAptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns etc.)Manual dexterity with excellent balance to work on scaffolding, ladder, man lift etc.Conscientious with great attention to detailHigh school diploma; successful completion of an apprenticeshipWorking Conditions:
Work is performed in a manufacturing plant. Work involves exposure to temperature extremes, high noise levels, wetness, heights, dust, moving equipment, vibrations, fumes and vapors. Work is performed around moving equipment and in confined spaces.
Equipment Used:
Must be able to wear and properly use all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required by the position including, but not limited to respirator, safety glasses, steel-toed shoes and hearing protection. Safety Data Sheet, computer and associated software, hand tools, measuring instruments, power tools, hard hat/bump cap, and lockout devices. Confined space equipment. Company truck and forklift. Hand and power tools, pick-up truck, ladders, Fire extinguishers and low-temperature clothing, personal computers, fax machines, phones, two-way radio.
Non-essential Functions:
Perform other duties as assigned. Explain and demonstrate job tasks to visitors.

Pay Range:
$45,760 - $52,000Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
