Job Description:
The Manager IT Infrastructure and Operations reports directly to the Director Regional Digital Transformation and IT Europe with a dotted line to the Global Director Infrastructure & Operations.
The Manager IT Infrastructure and Operations ensures the stability and efficiency of the IT systems of Antech in Europe. This role involves leading a team and optimizing IT infrastructure performance and day to day IT Operations of service desk across Europe. Key responsibilities include maintaining high availability of IT services, managing data centers and networks, and implementing security and disaster recovery best practices. The manager also focuses on risk mitigation and continuous improvement to support the organization’s goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of IT Infrastructure professionals.Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure.Ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of systemsEnsure high availability and reliability of IT services.Monitor system performance and address issues proactively.Implement best practices for IT security and data protection.Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans.Ensure business continuity through effective risk management.Identify opportunities for Infrastructure improvements.Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends.Oversee the helpdesk operations to ensure timely and effective support.Implement processes to improve helpdesk efficiency and user satisfaction.Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, including experience in leading a high-performance IT team.Proven experience in managing production networks (High availability) Experience in a laboratory or hospital environment is highly beneficial, with an understanding of the specific IT needs and compliance requirements in these settings.Strong background in IT security, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Hands-on in-depth understanding of IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, networks, and cloud services.Proficiency in managing production networks.Knowledge of IT security principles and best practices.Familiarity with disaster recovery and business continuity planning.Experience working in a laboratory, hospital or production environment is highly beneficial.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders.Good leadership and team management abilities.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to identify and mitigate risks proactively.Capacity to develop and implement process improvements.Commitment to staying updated with emerging technologies and industry trends.Willingness to pursue relevant certifications and training.Strong focus on user satisfaction and service delivery.Ability to oversee helpdesk operations and ensure timely support.Proficiency in English is required.Knowledge of another European language is highly desirable.Travel upto 25%About Antech
