Job DescriptionDuring your internship, you will collaborate with the team to optimize processes and implement data-driven solutions in the eBike NVH team. You will design, build, and maintain robust real-time data pipelines to process sensor data from various sources.In addition, you will ensure the integrity and performance of the data pipeline, handling the ingestion, validation, transformation, and storage of data efficiently.Furthermore, you will develop and optimize relational database schemas (MySQL) for raw and aggregated data storage.You will monitor and troubleshoot pipeline performance, ensuring fault tolerance and automation for high availability.Last but not least, you will provide documentation and best practices for scaling and enhancing the pipeline to handle production-level workloads.

QualificationsEducation: studies in the field of Computer Science, Data Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a comparable technical disciplineExperience and Knowledge: proficiency in Python and MySQL; strong experience with ETL processes, real-time data ingestion, and processing frameworks; familiarity with sensor data processing, including validation, transformation, and aggregation techniques; experience with database optimization, schema design, and handling large-scale dataPersonality and Working Practice: you have excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on scalable and maintainable solutions; you are able to communicate and collaborate effectively; you work in a structured and autonomous manner, paired with initiative and adaptabilityEnthusiasm: a strong interest in IT and data-driven problem-solving, along with a passion for implementing innovative solutions in real-time data engineeringLanguages: fluent in German and/or English

Duration: 6 months
