The Instrumentation Engineering Co-op for Cytiva Nanomedicine is responsible for supporting the R&D team's scientific, product development, and product support goals including design documentation, developing work instructions, and transferring changes into production. 

This position is part of the Engineering team located in Vancouver, BC and will be onsite. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

What you will do:
• Support supply chain in finding and validating alternative sources for production parts to improve sourcing base to ensure continuity of supply. 
• Investigate and resolve production line issues and support service team with any field escalations. 
• Drive root cause investigations and develop, test and implement design changes for internal and field related instrument issues. 
• Ensure all proposed changes to existing products maintain or improve product compliance, performance and reliability. 
• Design, test and introduce production jigs and fixtures for streamlining and improving the production process for Cytiva Nanomedicine's commercial instruments.

Who you are:
• Studying Nanotechnology Engineering, Engineering Physics, Systems Engineering, Mechatronics, Biomedical Engineering, or any other multi-disciplinary degree. 
• Knowledge of electrical circuits and circuit design. 
• Experience with the design, fabrication and testing of prototype instruments. 
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities. 
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and time management skills.
 
It would be a plus if you also have previous experience in: 

• Knowledge of biological lab techniques
• Experience with SolidWorks /3D CAD software

The annual salary range for this role is $40,000-50,000 CAD/year. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
