Role Description 

Software Innovation will play a critical role in driving the company's technological advancements and competitive advantage. This leadership position requires a visionary and results-oriented individual with a strong technical foundation and a proven track record of success in leading and mentoring Innovation topics with primary focus of Idea spotting, running early Innovation phase & later drive successful ideas to scale. 

Key Responsibilities: 
    Innovation Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive innovation strategy aligned with the Bosch Mobility Company vision, goals, and market dynamics. Identify key innovation opportunities and prioritize initiatives to drive business growth. 
    Startup Collaboration: Cultivate relationships with startups, entrepreneurs, and innovation hubs to explore collaboration opportunities. Scout the startup ecosystem to identify potential partners, technologies, and trends relevant to our business. 
    Drive Innovation: Identify and evaluate business scenarios, emerging technologies and their potential impact on products and services or create new Product & Services 
    Research and Analysis: Conduct market research, trend analysis, and competitive intelligence to identify emerging technologies, industry disruptors, and market gaps. Stay abreast of innovation trends and best practices to inform decision-making. 
    Ideation and Concept Development: Facilitate ideation sessions and workshops to generate creative ideas for new products, services, and business models. Lead cross-functional teams to develop and refine concepts into viable innovation projects. 
    Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Foster a culture of innovation by engaging stakeholders across the organization, including executives, employees, customers, and partners. Build relationships with external innovation networks, academia, and industry associations to access expertise and resources. 
    Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with innovation projects, including technical challenges, market uncertainties, and regulatory compliance. Develop contingency plans and escalation pathways to address potential roadblocks. 
    Performance Measurement: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the success of innovation. Monitor progress against targets, analyze performance data, and report findings to stakeholders. 
    Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement by soliciting feedback, conducting post-mortem reviews, and capturing lessons learned from innovation projects. Implement process improvements and best practices to enhance innovation effectiveness. 
    Develop and implement innovative software solutions that address complex business challenges and improve customer adaptation & experience. 

  

Qualification & Skills: 
    Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, technology, or related field. Advanced degree (MBA, MS) would be an added advantage.  
    8-12 years of experience in innovation management, corporate venturing, startup collaboration, product development, or strategic planning.  
    Proven track record of leading successful innovation projects from ideation to commercialization.  
    Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for driving change, challenging the status quo, and pushing the boundaries of what's possible.  
    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and make business-scenario driven decisions.  
    Excellent communication, presentation skills and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire stakeholders at all levels of the organization.  
    Project management expertise, including proficiency in project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.  
    Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and business needs.  
    Proven experience in leading and mentoring high-performing engineering teams. 
    Passion for innovation and a strong desire to learn and grow. 
    Stay abreast of the latest advancements in software technologies, mobility ecosystem & other relevant fields, such as: 
    Cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP) 
    Data engineering and analytics 
    AI/ML technologies and applications 
    Microservices architecture 
    IOT, Edge 
    SDV, Compute 
    Agile development methodologies etc. 


    Soft Skills: 
    Leadership & Mentoring: Strong leadership capabilities with experience mentoring and guiding both technical teams and junior architects. Ability to lead small technical teams for incubation of emerging technologies. 
    Lead the Innovation topic as Anchor, mentor and develop a high-performing team of SME, Software engineers, Business Analysts, and GTM partners. 
    Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous learning  
    Inspire and motivate the team to achieve ambitious goals and exceed expectations. 
    Collaborate with product management, business development, and other stakeholders to align technology strategy with business goals. 
    Communication: Exceptional communication skills, able to explain complex technical concepts clearly and persuasively to both technical and non-technical audiences. Comfortable presenting and discussing new technologies, architectural patterns, and innovations with internal teams, stakeholders, and leadership. 
    Collaboration: Skilled in working with diverse, international teams to deliver robust software solutions.
