The Position
The Indirect Procurement Specialist plays a key role in managing and optimizing the sourcing of indirect suppliers and services at the site level. This includes collaborating with local and global teams to introduce procurement programs, improve supplier performance, and implement strategic initiatives that support our sterile manufacturing objectives. The role requires a balance of operational execution and strategic leadership, with a strong focus on stakeholder engagement, supplier management, cost efficiency, and compliance with procurement policies.
Key Responsibilities include:
Lead sourcing and supplier management for indirect categories such as Lab Supplies, MRO, IT, and Logistics.
Implement supplier relationship management programs and develop business continuity plans.
Drive cost savings and risk mitigation initiatives in collaboration with site and global teams.
Drive sourcing, contract negotiations, and compliance with procurement policies and procedures for your respective categories.
Perform spend analysis, manage purchase orders, and support operational procurement tasks in ERP systems like JDEdwards.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering, or other related fields. Minimum 5 years of procurement experience in an industrial setting, ideally within pharmaceuticals manufacturing. Demonstrated change management, strategic planning, project management, and analytical skills in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office tools; able to troubleshoot various instruments and data systems. Strong communication skills in both French and English; capable of conveying and retaining detailed instructions. Detail-oriented and adaptable, with the ability to multitask, manage deadlines, and work independently or in teams.
About the site
End of 2024, Novo Nordisk acquired the manufacturing site Catalent Belgium SA. The site is now part of Novo Nordisk and has begun the transition to become a fully integrated Novo Nordisk manufacturing site. To advance the integration, the Brownfield Site Integration team for Brussels (BSI Brussels) has been established with the responsibility for local integration and capacity maximization in collaboration with the local team.
