Implementation Senior EngineerBusiness Environment

The mission of the EAS (EMD and Ancillary Services) team covers the implementation of the suite of products related to Baggage, Chargeable seats, SSR (Special Service Request), EMD (Electronic Miscellaneous Document), and Ancillary services to all Altea customers. These airlines continue to implement new Ancillary services to reach new revenues and more functionalities to smooth and automate their management through the service life cycle and in all touchpoints with their customers. Ancillary offers and policies are also regularly refined or fully rebranded to fit with new market trends, especially Baggage and Seats that highly contribute to airlines' profits. Our team leads Ancillary service streams in Altea PSS (Passenger Service System) migrations and leads its own projects with the airlines post-PSS migration, known as standalone projects. The timeline is usually between 4 and 6 months.

Your Main Responsibilities

Common accountabilities :

The candidate will take on multiple roles within the team:

Project coordination for stand-alone projects: customer-facing, coordinating the timeline and list of actions of the airline and Amadeus teamsInternal coordination: with R&D (Research and Development) teams when expertise outside the team is needed, for specific tasks and to address PTR (Problem Tracking Report) issuesImplementation activities: delivery of the solution, functional expertise, migration strategy definition and application

The candidate will be responsible for a significant customer-facing role requiring organizational skills and the ability to engage at all levels within Airline customers’ business and within Amadeus solutions.

The successful candidate will gain extensive expertise in Baggage and Seating in Amadeus and their integration across various touchpoints (from RES (Reservation) websites to DCS (Departure Control System). At the same time, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop project coordination skills and customer interaction abilities.

In this Role You’ll:

Implementation Activities

Analysis of the customer systems and existing setup to build the best proposal for the new Ancillary service requirementsOverseeing the setup of the solution in test and productionTailoring Ancillary solutions to meet the Altea customer's requirements and validating in impacted Altea touchpoints for customer testingManaging the migration activities, rehearsals, and cutovers with the airlineProviding technical and functional assistance during UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and BPT (Business Process Testing) from the airline

Project Coordination

Coordination of the project with the customer, organization of regular status meetings, follow-up of actions and risksInternal coordination with R&D development teams for the activities and features to deliver (DCS, Seating, Baggage pricing R&D teams being the main ones)Management of the project schedule.

Team Related Activities

Participation in the creation and improvement of implementation processes in collaboration with R&D teams.Contribution to the serviceability of Amadeus solutions

About the Ideal Candidate

Experience in the IT (Information Technology) and/or Amadeus core business, with good knowledge of the airline IT business and Amadeus core products.Background in Reservation, Ticketing, Pricing, or Ancillary Services, with an Engineer degree or university degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience (IT).Proficient in English, with strong communication skills and a multicultural approach.Demonstrated accountability, proactivity, and problem-solving abilities, with analytical and conceptual thinking.Adaptability to change management and flexibility to work in a complex environment with transversal solutions.Willingness to travel and work off-site at the customer’s location during a project when required.
