Duties and Responsibilities • Ensure appropriate data security and access controls considering both local and wide area issues. • Organize for schedule preventive maintenance of ICT infrastructure. • Develop training materials, operating and user manuals, • Implement policies and procedures to govern activities in the department. • Evaluate systems and ensuring adherence to established performance standards, • Maintain primary, backup and disaster recovery data centres. • Ensure work and changes to the ICT infrastructure components are undertaken. • Co-ordinate administration and maintenance of LAN & WAN. • Compile progress reports on the operations of ICT systems. • Ensure compliance with database vendor license agreement • Control user access to ICT systems. • Train staff in assigned systems. Requirements for Appointment Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Systems Control or related discipline with Six(6)years work experience in university environment. In addition candidates with relevant certificates in such as CCNA, CCNP, Linux, MCITP, MCDA, CISA, CISM, SAP, and Oracle.
