About this opportunity:

 

We are seeking an IT Engineer to provide on-site technical assistance in our factory environment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge in manufacturing settings and a solid background in IT. This role focuses on troubleshooting and providing support for corporate IT infrastructure at the access level—including network connectivity, virtualization platforms, and Windows client systems—as well as hands-on experience with operating systems and manufacturing applications (e.g., Siemens, Fuji, Kohyoung, ASM). In addition, the candidate should possess project management skills to support IT projects ensuring deadlines are met, managing project budgets, and maintaining effective relationship with stakeholders.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

•    Provide on-site technical support for factory end users.
•    Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows OS and manufacturing systems.
•    Provide basic support and troubleshooting for corporate IT infrastructure, including network connectivity, virtualization platforms, and Windows client systems.
•    Interface communication between global IT team and factory operations to ensure seamless integration of manufacturing systems.
•    Assist in project management tasks, including tracking timelines, managing budgets, and coordinating with business stakeholders.
•    Document technical issues and resolutions, maintaining detailed records of support activities.
•    Collaborate with supplier teams for manufacturing systems (e.g., Siemens, Fuji, Kohyoung, ASM) to ensure operational reliability.

 

 

Requirements:

 

•    Education: Bachelor’s or Technologist degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
•    Experience: Proven IT support experience in a manufacturing environment.
•    Technical Skills: 

o    Basic troubleshooting and support for corporate IT infrastructure.o    Proficiency in using network troubleshooting tools such as PuTTY, Wireshark, and others troubleshooting tools.o    Ability to follow technical instructions from remote Level 2/3.o    Knowledge of networking concepts and terminology.o    Foundational awareness of wireless technology and Windows Server basic services administrationo    Familiarity with video conferencing systems (e.g., MTR System), PDA/mobile devices, and printer services outsourcing is highly relevant.

•    Soft Skills: 

o    Strong interpersonal skills for effective coordination with site personnel.o    Ability to promptly identify and escalate issues to the Network Operations Center or Account Network Support team.o    Proactive in securing internet and voice communications independently of physical facilities.

•    Language: English proficiency is required.
