Ice Cream Training and Development Specialist

JOB PURPOSE:

The Training Supervisor role plays an important role in training and development needs in support of organizational goals and business objectives for the site operations.  In this role, you will also identify, evaluate, develop and deliver appropriate training programs to meet defined skill enhancement to be relevant to business success.  Areas of training include new hire orientation and onboarding, basic work skills, position specific technical training, behaviorally based training, supervisory/managerial skills training, and safety/regulatory compliance training.   
 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Managing the new hire orientation and onboarding programs.Tracking and monitoring trainee progress and maintaining training matrix and records.Assessing trainee performance and identifying areas of improvement.Supporting individual continuous improvement plans based on their respective training needs. Meeting with trainees, trainers and supervisors to provide support where needed.Partner with the People Development Pillar for continuous improvement.Design and execution of the training strategy in all areas of the factory.Coordinate and support site training activities.Evaluate training material to ensure alignment with skill assessments and requirements.Identify training gaps through analysis of site skills assessments.Flexibility to cover all shifts.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

SKILLS:

Training in program design.Presentation skills.Previous supervisory experience preferred.Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with a variety of people from different cultural backgrounds and education levels is required. Express ideas clearly and concisely both verbally and written. Ability to tailor presentation to audience.Previous department or team leadership experience preferred. Inspires others to reach standards of skill attainment.Strong team based problem solving and influencing skills required. Works cooperatively as a mentor or leader of a team. Committed to overall objectives of the team.A creative energetic attitude.Excellent communication and presentation skills.

EXPERIENCES & QUALIFICATIONS:    

Bachelor’s degree preferably in Human Resources or a Technical Field of study.Previous experience in a Manufacturing setting preferably Front-Line Management or Training.Continuous Improvement or other Lean Manufacturing Experience.Exceptional computer skills (Microsoft programs, powerpoint, excel, etc.)

Pay: The pay range for this position is $68,000 to $102,000. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.

Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.
Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
