Main Responsibilities
The Assistant Manager, corporate affairs plays a crucial role in shaping and executing the organisation’s corporate and public affairs strategies. This position requires a strong understanding of government relations and public affairs, with a focus on agriculture and food industries.
Key Responsibilities
Engage with government officials and regulatory agencies.Monitor and analyze government policies and regulations.Represent the organization at industry events and conferences.Strategic policy and registration projects.Sourcing unit government liaison and support.Trade falicatation for our access to portefolioCrisis and issue management.Communicate organizational changes effectively and sensitively.Develop and implement change management plans.Provide support and guidance to employees during periods of change.
Experience & Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Communications or a related field.5+ years of experience in a public affairs role.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.Experience with crisis communication and media relations.Knowledge of social media and digital communication tools.
