IC China S&SHE Assistant Manager

Main Job Purpose:

Ice Cream China SSHE assistant manager has overall responsibility for assisting China S&SHE head in driving, sustaining, and implementing Safety, Security, Health & Environment improvement activities to achieve excellence at the sites. The client scope includes office workers, R&D, logistic, warehouse and 3PM.  

Accountable for multiple SSHE domains, including development and optimization of SSHE management systems and the audits and initiatives of SSHE programs.

Support SSHE head to oversee China SSHE management, encompassing the planning, coordination, and implementation of SSHE policies, guidelines and procedure.

Key Accountabilities:

​Collect, evaluate and communicate applicable laws & regulations to ensure regulatory compliance on SSHE. Develop monthly SSHE newsletterResponsible for establishing and maintaining SSHE management systems and procedures make sure that the activity of complies with national and local laws, regulations related standards, and Ice Cream requirementsPerform periodic SSHE inspections/audits to identify potential hazards and improvement opportunities. Follow up the corrective actions established with the team.Ensure the planned emergency evacuation drills are conducted per year at officeDevelop SSHE capability of team and cross function members. Make training plans for employees, contractors and visitors to ensure they are healthy and safe in work locationsData consolidate for SSHE KPI’s from all partners in collaborative manufacturing, logistics, R&D and distribution centers.  ​Updating and maintaining the reporting dashboards, prepare the China SSHE performance report.  Monitor all near-misses, incidents and accidents and review recommended corrective/preventive actions and track their implementation and effectiveness​Monthly SSHE alert sharing​Partnership and collaboration between UL & 3PM to drive agenda performance Lead SHE coordinator internal meetingOrganize SSHE activities for improving SSHE awareness and foster a positive safety culture

Experience Required:

ESSENTIAL 

​​BS or above degree in mechanical engineering, environmental or occupational health and Safety sciences or equivalent combination of training & experience. 5 or above years SHE related work experience in industry and manufacturing 

environment for multinational company

​Safety, Engineering background with certification is preferred. Good knowledge of SSHE laws and regulationsFluent in oral and written EnglishExcellent communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and manage time effectively​Good observation and auditing skills  ​Strong analytical skills; ability to translate data into action and follow-through Entrepreneur spirit, self-motivated, responsible, result-driven, positive and flexible, smart and hard-working, ability to work independently under pressureGood team playerExcellent PC skills
