About the Role
The IBP Digital Readiness & Adoption Analyst" is a key role within the i-IBP and implementation of Advanced demand planning system OMP. Based on business processes/requirements, the role will be responsible for understanding Multivariate forecasting, building block management and advanced use of demand sensing to assist users within the Market thereby unlocking any obstacles to efficient utilization of the tool.
The Analyst will be required to have a robust understanding of the data structure and requirements for integration of the multivariate forecast process not limited to but including, CPG structures, Sales history, SIT, Depletion, Market Share, Category Growth, Price Elasticity History, Historical promotions, OOS. The analyst together with the OMP adoption Manager will ensure adoption of the tool as the single demand planning tool in Diageo and effectively work to eliminate parallel demand planning processes.
In addition, the Analyst is required to understand the report structure within OMP and collectively understand the business reporting requirements to craft and develop standardized reports that will be used to drive an effective IBP cycle in the markets.
The analyst together with the OMP adoption Manager will be also responsible for the readiness within the region. This mean work in APO adoption pre-work and data consolidation & preparation.
Is responsible for acquiring and disseminating system knowledge, which will be acquired thru training and hands on experience. This analyst will often train the end users of the system and will often become the first line support person and contact person for help desk of OMP during and after Go Live acceptance.
Is responsible for testing and validating the proposed software solutions, thorough knowledge of scope / design both at technical level (eg. data interfacing correctness) and functional level (functionalities “fit for use” according to the business requirements). Is also responsible for creating corresponding functional and user documentation.
You will be expected to display the following skills to be successful:
Understands the principles that underpin demand planning processes, including formal education in demand planning and execution to complete work.
Understanding of the Business complexity.
The ability to translate business requirements into system parameters/rules as well as translate AI and Machine learning outputs into clear business language.
The ability to understand statistical forecasting principles and algorithms used in process.
Model and test algorithms using the latest data and technology.
Display critical thinking and digital dexterity by using data to tell a story based on fact and trends.
Has experience in demand planning in a similar environment using statistical tools, building block assumptions, opportunities and risks, and S&OP/IBP to agree plans.
Can maintain a statistical dataset, including data cleansing, item relationships and product families to facilitate the delivery of a statistical forecast with minimal rework. Can do this in the appropriate Diageo tool as selected.
Understand the principles and practices that support Advanced Statistical Forecasting, including Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, in a way that this knowledge can be used to support existing and future statistical modelling and improvement within Diageo.
Can create and maintain scenario planning for Demand and IBP purposes including the understanding of how probabilistic forecasting can be used to determine the most likely scenarios and teach the demand analyst and iBP leads how to effectively utilize it.
Experience, Skills & Capabilities Required
Baseline understanding of the end-to-end Supply Chain Planning processes; Supply Planning, Distribution Requirements Planning, Inventory Planning, Conversion, Logistics, Procurement and Customer Service
Demonstrated proficiency in statistics and/or forecasting methodologies with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts.
Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
Good communication skills – verbal, written and presentation.
Proficient in MS applications e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook

Previous Successful Experience
Working within the Demand and/or Supply Chain Planning process; Consumer Packaged Goods Industry preferred
Experience with advanced planning software with Supply Planning (SAP APO system and Business Intelligence/BW/Power Bi )
Has practical experience of Demand Analytics, to analyse demand performance and trends, marketing, and sales activity impact (including pricing), and reach conclusions on what that might mean about current and future demand plans.
Has practical experience of IBP in a similar role and / or business, which can be used to support the current role and challenge assumptions
Can manage an appropriate change management process to ensure market adoption of IBP, using Diageo principles, processes, and resources, as well as their own skills, capabilities, and position.
First hand planning experience in IBP, S&OP, S&OE, Demand Planning.
