Context/Scope
The HR Business Partner – Commercial, Marketing & Support Functions operates within a dynamic, consumer-focused environment encompassing commercial sales, brand marketing, and corporate support teams. The role supports a diverse, high-performing workforce across multiple departments, requiring expertise in organizational development, talent management, and change leadership. It demands a deep understanding of commercial drivers, market dynamics, and evolving customer expectations, while aligning people initiatives with business growth objectives in a fast-paced setting.
Purpose of Role
The HR Business Partner – Commercial, Marketing & Support Function is to own the end-to-end HR delivery and performance for the Commercial, Marketing, and Support Function within a fast-paced, consumer-driven environment. This role partners closely with senior business leaders to craft and implement people strategies that drive commercial success, organizational efficiency, and high performance in the face of evolving market demands.
The HR Business Partner is required to play a significant leadership role within the HR team, ensuring strong alignment between functional priorities and the overarching business agenda.
Top Accountabilities:
Business Partnering:
Act as the primary HR interface for both the Commercial, Marketing & Support Function, providing strategic and operational HR support to line managers and departmental heads.
Understand and translate business needs into people strategies that improve workforce capability, engagement, and performance.
Support workforce planning, organizational design, succession planning, and talent development initiatives across the functions.
Be a lead in developing a winning culture through employee engagement interventions and practices
Understand and review the organizational structure in business area to ensure this is fully optimized
Industrial & Employee Relations (Commercial, Marketing & Support Function):
Maintain compliance with labour laws, internal policies, and sound industrial relations practices.
Lead disciplinary, grievance, and dispute resolution processes in a fair, timely, and consistent manner.
Talent Management & Development:
Own Talent Agenda and drive rigour of core HR processes (e.g. succession planning, performance management processes) to deliver bench strength in the functions.
Partner with the Head of Capability and the functional Capability Lead to identify skill gaps and implement targeted training interventions.
Support leadership development within both the Commercial, Marketing & Support Function teams through coaching and other initiatives.
Organisational Change & Culture:
Support the design and implementation of change initiatives that impact the Commercial, Marketing & Support Function team, ensuring effective communication, alignment, and stakeholder engagement.
Act as a culture ambassador, reinforcing values and behaviours that promote collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
HR Operations & Compliance:
Ensure HR policies and procedures are applied consistently and in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Partner with payroll, benefits, and other HR support functions to ensure smooth HR service delivery.
