Where You’ll Work
This Internship will be working with the Lab Analytics team with a focus on providing reporting and analytical support for client meetings and events. This team utilizes pharmacy data to gather insights on clients. The intern will support departmental tasks and will be exposed to data analytics to enhance insights. During the summer internship, you will have the opportunity to collaborate within your department and across the business while learning from some of our brightest and most innovative employees in your area of focus.
What You Will Do
Gain valuable insights into the pharmacy industry and data analytics, enhancing your understanding of both.Conduct research on key topics related to pharmacy data and analytics and present your findings to the team.Work on Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes, improving and optimizing existing workflows.Enhance current analytical processes by applying new techniques and technologies.Collaborate cross-functionally with different teams to support the analytics department in delivering high-quality insights and solutions.Participate in hands-on projects that will directly impact the business and help drive strategic decision-making.Qualifications
Rising junior or senior working towards a bachelor’s degree.Preferred majors include Business Analytics, Economics, Health Science, Healthcare Administration, or another related field.A GPA of 3.0 or above.Prior experience with SQL is highly desirable.Strong attention to detail and an ability to think analytically.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).A self-starter who is eager to learn, acquire new skills, and take on challenges in a fast-paced environment.Additional Information
Location: All intern roles have the expectation for greater than 50% of their workweek to be in the office. Applicants should be prepared to be aligned with our Morris Plains, NJ office located at 115 Tabor Road, Morris Plains, NJ 07950.Work Authorization: One goal of this internship program is to prepare and identify qualified candidates for roles with The Cigna Group post-graduation. Therefore, this temporary internship is open only to individuals who are eligible for employment in the United States and who would not require visa support including H-1B or CPT/OPT/STEM, etc., now or in the future.Schedule: You must be available to work up to 40 hours/week for 10 consecutive weeks beginning May 19, 2025. Working hours are Monday – FridayCompensation: For this position, we anticipate offering an hourly rate between $22.00 and $24.00 an hour depending on relevant factors, including major and year of study.If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
