Ericsson's Business Area Networks (BNEW) unit is where 5G was born! We’re a global team of 30,000 in 94 countries, with 138 nationalities. Half of our organization works in R&D, approximately 8,000 in Group Supply and 5,000 in Service Area Networks. BNEW holds the group responsibility for Supply and part of Service Delivery.

Reporting to the Head of BNEW, the Head of People BNEW is accountable to create and implement the BNEW People Strategy to support the achievement of our business strategy. The Head of BNEW People takes decisions on how we best attract, develop, manage and retain the talent needed across all global sites to execute on our business strategy. This role will advise and collaborate with the Head of BNEW and the BNEW leadership team to create strategies that address challenges related to external factors such as technological changes and geopolitics, as well as internal factors such as shifts in capabilities and site strategies. These efforts are essential for BNEW's success. 

 

The Head of People BNEW will be part of both the BNEW and Ericsson Global People leadership teams. Working in a matrix structure, this position requires strong stakeholder management and influencing skills. Additionally, BNEW acts as the host for the People Sweden organization, holding group-wide responsibility for this team. As Head of BNEW People, this executive will lead and coordinate the people strategy for all Ericsson operations in Sweden. You will ensure our Swedish people agenda meets the standards and expectations set by Ericsson headquarters, enabling us to attract, retain and grow the best talent.

 

The location of this role is at our headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden. At Ericsson, we follow an office-first approach, so most of your time will be spent working face-to-face with colleagues in the office.  

 

 

What you will do:

 

Collaborate closely with the BNEW Leadership team and global HR team to identify key people priorities and develop and implement solutions to address these, while adhering to high standards of ethics and compliance. 

Support the Head of BNEW as a trusted advisor and challenger, offering recommendations to drive change within the organization, raising the bar on both performance and leadership.  

Develop, and when needed, quickly adapt our strategic people direction, referencing our breadth of operations, strengths, challenges, opportunities, and geographic characteristics, and translate these into an effective people strategy.  

Build and lead a strong BNEW People organization, acting as advisors and coaches to align employee efforts with the broader BNEW organization's business strategy. 

Lead the creation and execution of the People Strategy for Ericsson Sweden, ensuring we remain a top choice for talented individuals at our headquarters. 

Manage relationships with Global People Heads across different organizational dimensions to ensure strong collaboration while ensuring BNEW’s needs are addressed in the Global People strategy and initiatives.

Minimum Requirements: 

A bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration or Social Sciences or a related discipline. 

Senior experience in Human Resources leadership, with reasonable large leadership responsibility, preferably in diverse businesses and cultural/geographic settings.
