Are you a strategic leader who thrives at the intersection of sales, people, and partnerships? Old Mutual PFA is looking for a dynamic Head of OMF & Strategic Partnerships to drive growth through our tied adviser network in retail branches—and pioneer new business through game-changing partnerships.
As part of the PFA Executive Committee, you’ll help shape national distribution strategy, lead continuous improvement, and mentor future leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the Strategy & Operations for our tied adviser network within Old Mutual Finance retail branches—covering sales, manpower, retention, incentives, and performance management.Create Market-Making Partnerships by developing win-win alliances with both internal partners and external stakeholders—expanding our reach into new markets and client segments.Drive EXCO-Level Strategy by contributing to risk, remuneration, and production strategies and mentoring junior executives in navigating complex initiatives.Build High-Performing Teams and cultivate a strong culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence in execution.Own Sales & Marketing across OMF and strategic partnership channels—designing innovative go-to-market approaches and customer acquisition campaigns.Champion Financial Discipline through budget ownership, expense management, and ROI-driven decision-making.

Minimum Requirements:

Education & Professional Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field (required)MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification (preferred)Regulatory and industry-related certifications (e.g., RE5, FAIS-compliant, CFP) are an advantage

Experience

Minimum of 10–15 years’ experience in financial services, with at least 5 years at senior/executive leadership levelProven track record of leading large sales and distribution teams, ideally in a tied-agent or retail environmentExperience in strategic partnerships, business development, and channel strategy designStrong understanding of the South African financial services regulatory environmentDemonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives and drive commercial growth
