We are seeking a seasoned and execution focused HR leader for the role of Head of HR – IHDS Operations. This position will play a pivotal role in supporting the people and workforce agenda for our International Health Delivery Services (IHDS). The role reports directly to the HR Officer for IH. You will be responsible for ensuring strong HR service delivery, operational efficiency, and compliance across all IHDS Operations geographies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. HR Leadership for IHDS Operations
Provide end-to-end HR leadership for IHDS Operations across India, Africa, and Malaysia.
Partner closely with IHDS Ops business leaders to align people strategy with operational goals.
Drive consistency in HR practices and policies that support IHDS Operations across geographies.
2. People Management & Country HR Oversight
Lead and coach the country HR managers supporting IHDS Operations in India, Africa, and Malaysia.
Ensure country and segment HR strategies align with the IH wide IHDS Operations framework while meeting local regulatory needs.
Act as a central escalation point for all HR-related matters within IHDS Operations.
3. Operational Excellence in HR
Oversee all core HR processes and systems within IHDS Operations including hiring, onboarding, workforce administration, employee relations, performance management, and exits.
Partner with workforce management, business operations, and shared services teams to deliver a seamless HR experience to all IHDS Operations employees.
Maintain high service levels and support continuous improvement in HR operational processes.
4. Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure compliance with employment laws, labor regulations, and organizational policies in all IHDS Ops markets.
Proactively manage employee relations risks and support resolution of sensitive or complex issues in partnership with legal and compliance teams.
5. Workforce Effectiveness & Talent Development
Support the development and retention of talent in IHDS Operations, especially front-line leaders and high-volume roles.
Collaborate with COEs to deliver targeted learning, engagement, and leadership development programs across IHDS Operations teams.
Monitor workforce sentiment and engagement levels across IHDS Operations and address opportunities for improvement.
6. HR Analytics & Continuous Improvement
Leverage HR systems and data analytics to monitor key HR metrics for IHDS Operations (e.g., attrition, productivity, time-to-fill, etc.).
Identify process inefficiencies and lead change initiatives that improve service delivery and business alignment within IHDS Operations.
Champion a culture of operational excellence and agility across all IHDS HR functions.
Qualifications & Experience:
12+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in an operational HR leadership role in complex, multi-country environments.Strong background in managing HR in healthcare delivery, insurance operations, shared services, or BPO sectors is highly desirable.Demonstrated experience leading geographically dispersed HR teams in support of large-scale operations.Solid understanding of HR operations, labor law compliance, and employee relations in dynamic service environments.Proficiency with HR systems and data tools; experience with Workday or equivalent platforms preferred.Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.Key Competencies:
