About this opportunity
We are seeking a Head of Group Taxes to oversee the medium- and long-term tax strategies within the Ericsson Group. This role involves ensuring the implementation of effective and tax-efficient operating models, as well as managing the tax risk control framework. Additionally, you will play a key role in handling tax audits and litigations with Group impact in mind. Your role will very much be involved in identifying issues and key actions to improve Group results. 


We seek a leader with strong business, financial- and tax expertise who can bring global perspectives, proactively work close with the business and challenge established norms. Your role is to advice and support to the business, executive management and Audit Committee on tax related matters. 

 

You will become a key member of the Group Control Leadership Team, and report directly to the Head of Group Control.


What you will do

In this role, you will lead a team of experienced Tax Counsels to foster a dynamic work environment and enhance business value. You'll ensure successful outcomes and positive Group impact through proactive management, collaborating with Market Areas (Mas), Business Areas (Bas), and key Financial Controlling units. Additionally, you'll drive cultural shifts in operations to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.

 

Providing Global Tax Policies & Directives and set the overall framework for the Group. Develop Ericsson Operative Model (EOM), to secure the business and adopted to new macro- and geopolitical situation. Set the Policy for Group Transfer price. Work closely with GFFI LT and CFO related to Tax matters with Group impact. Ie. Structural changes. Serve as the ultimate escalation point for complex tax matters.Securing an effective coordination and orchestration of Mutual and Bilateral Agreement Procedures (MAP & BAPA),Set the overall principles for Legal Entity Structure from a tax point of view. Provide Corporate Governance, Tax Education and Tax Awareness to relevant key stakeholders. Take responsibility for and ensure the accuracy of reported and paid taxes at the Group level (consolidated result). Create and set the framework for the way of working within the Global Tax Community, in close cooperation with Global Finance and Excellence (GFE) and Global Finance Services (GFS).Oversee tax controlling activities, and proactively work to support the businessDevelop and support scenario planning for multiple jurisdictional outcome for effective tax positioning.
 

The skills you bring

You will bring experience across various positions within the finance sector, showcasing a strategic mindset and a deep insights of Ericsson's business operations. A proven track record from relevant leadership position with experience from leading others through change is a must.

 

Degree of Master in Business Administrations, or equivalentProfound business insights and understanding of Ericsson's business models.Storytelling with tax data, presenting tax positions clearly to executives, auditors and regulators.Proven experience in leadership roles, adept at guiding senior professionals such as Tax Counsels to collaboratively to improve Group results. Outstanding negotiation and influencing abilities, paired with excellent communication skills for engaging with staff, colleagues, and company executives.Proven change leader with an action-oriented mindset, persistence, and dedication to success.High integrity with a strong focus on compliance and the ability to foster a speak-up culture
