About this opportunity: 
We seek a Head of Group Accounting and Consolidation, a role with key responsibilities critical to our Finance organization's success. You'll manage an efficient monthly closing process, collaborating with Business Areas (BA), Market Areas (MA), and Group Functions (GF). Your role involves securing and validating Group and Segment results by consolidating inputs from operational units for a single source of truth. As an advisor, you'll support the business on complex accounting matters and keep the CFO updated on critical issues. You'll also develop and maintain relevant accounting directives for the Ericsson Group.

 

You will collaborate closely with Group Treasury, MA/BA Finance, our auditors and other essential Group Finance entities to ensure strategic and tactical alignment on critical topics. Your leadership will be vital, developing robust partnerships across these functions. A deep understanding of how business activities are reflected in financial statements—profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow—will be essential as you translate business operations into effective accounting processes. 

Seeking a collaborative leader to build networks within Group Functions, Market Areas, and Business Areas, securing strategic, data-enabled partnerships. Strong communication skills are essential for engaging at all organizational levels.


You will become a key member of the Group Control Leadership Team, and report directly to the Head of Group Control. 

 

What you will do: 
Group consolidation and closing 

Manage an effective monthly closing process together with all involved stakeholders (BAs, MAs, Group Functions).  Secure and validate Group and Segment results. Consolidate the input provide by the operational units. Advice and support the business on accounting matters. Ensure CFO is up to date about critical accounting issues.  Develop and maintain the relevant accounting directives for the Ericsson Group. Develop training material and train the organization on the relevant standards / accounting directives.  Act as the ultimate escalation point for complex accounting mattersManage Internal Profit Elimination (IPE) process. Prepare annual financial statements ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements for financial reporting (GAAP and ESG) Conduct comprehensive M&A due diligence to address group accounting implications and perform regular impairment testing. Provide support and guidance to the business on accounting considerations related to M&A decisions.Ensure the accounting and compliance committee receives a clear and accurate presentation of all relevant and critical accounting matters.

 

The skills you bring:

Strong ability to collaborate and build networks with stakeholders across Group Functions, Market Area, and Business Areas.Excellent communication skills at all levels, including with C-suite executives.Solid understanding of how business activities are reflected in financial statements such as profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow.Ability to translate business operations into accounting processes.Proven leadership skills Strong IFRS Accounting knowledge incl. disclosure management. Experience in deploying accounting directives. 10 -15 years of experience having worked within Accounting & Consolidation. High integrity with a strong focus on compliance and the ability to foster a speak-up culture  Academic education in Economics, Finance, Business Administration or equal education
