This role oversees D&T’s regional delivery ensuring strategic impact on Diageo's business. The Head of Africa Delivery and Change works closely with business sponsors, Regional D&T team, Global Value Stream teams to create an execution roadmap for the region and ensures successful delivery to achieve committed business outcomes. **Purpose of Role** + **Regional Portfolio and Non-Portfolio Delivery:** Lead the Regional D&T team in investment prioritization, governance, financial/resource management, delivering quality regional outcomes. Ensure value streams and BAU teams are coordinated effectively into markets. + **Market Complexity:** Handle a wide portfolio across multiple geographies/functions/processes/systems with mid-to-high range risks related to business operations. + **Leadership Responsibilities & Capabilities:** Collaborate with regional/global D&T teams to structure appropriate resources for delivery plans. Oversee governance/control measures protecting investments while focusing on quality outcomes aligned regionally. + **Financial Complexity:** Oversee an annual D&T budget of £10m+, ensuring successful utilization of funds while flagging risks/opportunities. **Role Responsibilities** **Portfolio Delivery Management:** + Handle interdependencies across regional activities identifying resource synergies/business capacity/project approaches for efficient delivery. + Work with PM centre of excellence team for program/project mobilization including refining business cases from a regional perspective. + Identify risks/issues; implement corrective actions ensuring successful project delivery. + Empower program/project leaders within the portfolio holding them accountable for status/risk mitigation/issue resolution/CARM compliance/resourcing decisions. **Stakeholder Relationship Management:** + Partner with strategic PMO office ensuring criteria fulfillment before accepting work into portfolio. Influence alignment on work prioritization at Value Stream Boards among regional/global partners/product owners. + Collaborate internally (value stream leads/solution managers/programme/project managers/cross-functional departments/senior leadership) ensuring support/alignment for portfolio delivery. + Build strong partnerships with key stakeholders; + Handle expectations/communicate progress/address concerns/issues. **Process Improvement & Optimization:** + Continuously evaluate/improve portfolio delivery processes/methodologies/tools enhancing efficiency/success rates. + Implement best practices/frameworks ensuring consistent/effective portfolio delivery. **Performance Monitoring & Reporting:** + Monitor performance leading review frameworks against commitments (monthly/quarterly/annual). + Track/analyze metrics (progress/timelines/resources/budgets); provide recommendations improving performance. + Prepare regular reports/updates highlighting progress/risks/recommendations for senior leadership/stakeholders.​ **Qualifications & Experience Required** + Significant programme/stakeholder management experience within large matrixed organizations delivering outcome-based solutions using both traditional (waterfall) & iterative (Agile) methodologies + Proven track record in Programme Management + Demonstrated capability building/maintaining strong business relationships + Strong leadership/team management skills motivating non-direct report teams + Excellent pan-cultural impact/influencing skills + Passionate about continuous improvement + Foresight identifying potential issues/performance challenges/risks influencing negotiations maintaining performance + Comfortable working in fluid environments under pressure/high ambiguity levels + Understanding current/emerging industry/business consumer technology trends + Prior Agile methodologies' experience with enterprise-level application development projects + Ability to travel within region as the need arises **Diversity statement:** Our purpose is to celebrate life, every day, everywhere.
