Our team in Austin, TX is looking for a Group Lead, Strategic Pricing & Contract Analyst. Position will support the Structural Heart (SH) Business Unit. The Group Leader will provide support, training, and leadership to a team responsible for timely review, detailed financial analysis, and administration of sales requests, contracting, and pricing adjustments for local accounts for Abbott Structural Heart deals. Lead projects, lead team activities, identify opportunities, , and assist in developing team members.
What You’ll Work On
Lead training process and update documentation for staff training and for field sales training.
Assist with contract template development process and manage updates to policies and procedures from leadership, legal, OEC and finance.
Proactively research, analyze, and interpret data to produce substantiated recommendations and to work effectively in a high-pressure, high-demand sales support environment.
Evaluate cross functional work flows among various departments including Finance, Legal, Customer Service and Marketing and make recommendations for improvements.
Promote creative problem solving among team members and foster a team environment.
Provide oversight and guidance in the financial analysis and contracting of Purchasing Agreements.
Lead planning calls with Regional Sales Directors and Area Vice Presidents in multiple franchises to prepare RFP responses, gain alignment on pricing strategy and analytics and review strategy for Price Council.
Attention to detail is required. Must be able to consider the broader scope when working through new contract structures and identify/address the effects it may have on other agreements and/or processes.
Lead projects, identify opportunities, define, and financially justify projects, launch project teams, use good project management to manage team activities, lead teams to execute projects with the problem-solving methodology, track project and program status and results, remove and elevate project barriers, and assist in developing team members.
Collaborate with key cross-functional partners (Legal, Marketing, BU Leadership, and Customer Service) to facilitate contract readiness for new product launches.
Owns contract creation from start to finish – collaborative effort with sales team to define price needs, analysis to determine financial impact, execution of required internal review for price approval, documentation of proper approval, and final creation of outbound contract offering to end customer.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
Bachelors Degree
Masters Degree Preferred
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in business, finance or strategic pricing and contracting is required. Prior experience as Abbott Medical Devices Business Analyst in a Business Unit is preferred.
Excellent written and oral communications skills with attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, ability to work with general supervision, must be autonomous.
Leadership, problem solving, and negotiation skills
Strong analytical, strategic and problem-solving skills required. High level technical skills to build customized analytics based on customer situation. Ability to recognize technical needs and work to build and implement tools that can support the broader Enterprise Accounts Business Analyst team.
Strong quantitative & qualitative analysis skills, including experience working with large data sets
Demonstrated ability to work seamlessly with remote sites & business partners including building relationship with Sales personnel to be highly effective
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

The base pay for this position is $85,300.00 – $170,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
