Operating in over 40 countries, IRC delivers life-changing support to those displaced by conflict and disaster. Purpose of the Role IRC Poland is seeking a dynamic consultant to provide short-term, hands-on support to strengthen its grants and partnerships function. You’ll work closely with the Partnerships and Grants Officer to ensure timely, compliant, and impactful delivery of donor-funded programs and local partnerships. Key Responsibilities Capacity Building • Coach and mentor the Partnerships and Grants Officer on IRC systems and donor compliance. • Co-develop a capacity-building plan with milestones and check-ins. • Streamline and document grant and partnership workflows. Grants & Compliance • Support proposal/report development and donor submissions. • Maintain accurate OTIS records and grant trackers. • Facilitate Project Cycle Management (PCM) meetings. Partnerships Management • Lead partner vetting, onboarding, and due diligence. • Review and process sub-awards and modifications. • Conduct and document partner monitoring visits. Problem Solving & Systems Strengthening • Identify and resolve workflow bottlenecks. • Coordinate cross-functional solutions with Finance, Supply Chain, and Programs. • Recommend improvements to tools and compliance systems. Deliverables • Capacity-building plan with progress log. • Updated grant trackers and OTIS records. • Documented support for at least one donor proposal/report. • Summary report with risk mitigation and improvement recommendations. • Monitoring visit documentation (if applicable). Required: • 5+ years in humanitarian grants/partnerships management. • Familiarity with IRC systems (PEERS, OTIS). • Strong coaching, problem-solving, and organizational skills. • Excellent English writing and communication. • Experience in Poland’s humanitarian context, especially Ukraine crisis response. Preferred: • Prior IRC experience in the region. • Experience with EU, US, and UN donors. Agreement Terms A Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) will be signed to ensure confidentiality.
