Abbott Rapid Dx Ireland, Galway site is part of Global Business Services (GBS) within the Abbott Rapid Diagnostics Division. GBS has a global accountability to deliver an exceptional customer experience and create business value through compliance, standardization, and data analytics. The GBS group fosters a collaborative, team focused and winning environment where employees are accountable and encouraged to develop themselves.
The Global Training Specialist is responsible for the development and delivery of training programs that target specific training needs within Global Business Services (GBS). This role may also develop and maintain training material, identify, analyze and report KPI’s, and organize and implement training strategies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Key Activities)
Review existing training documents and learning aids/tools used by GBS functions to ensure consistent and effective employee learning methods are utilized.
Consult with leadership and provide guidance on the design, development, and delivery of training content, instructional materials, aids, and manuals.
Work closely with GBS departments, Global Process Organization, and project teams to ensure training objectives are met.
Maintain Training Team's Agile documents and perform periodic review.
Assign Metro read events to employees, run compliance reports, and load knowledge assessments into METRO for GBS functions.
Assist in the design, implementation and oversight of the employee onboarding and training programs for GBS.
Collaborate with management to facilitate the onboarding of new employees and assist in the review of Employee Training Plans.
Support Department SMEs with the design and development of task-based training programs.
Assist with tracking and reporting on key metrics to determine the effectiveness of employee development and training.
Work with site leadership on training strategy, methodology and delivery options.
Supports audit readiness to ensure successful results related to training.

Minimum Qualifications
Proficient in MS office with advanced skills in PowerPoint and Excel.
Collaborator who can deliver high-priority, high-level goals, but can thrive in self-directed environments.
Education & Experience
Associate’s degree of any course.
Minimum of 1 years’ experience in Learning and development with end to end training cycle capabilities.
Demonstrated ability to conduct classroom training, online Instructor-led trainings and adaptability to situation deemed necessary to deliver training.
