About the Product Portfolio Our Fermentation and Preservatives Portfolio focuses on developing natural, clean-label solutions for food preservation. By harnessing the power of fermentation, we provide alternatives to traditional chemical preservatives, enhancing the safety, quality, and shelf life of food products. Our portfolio includes a range of fermentation-derived ingredients used in various food categories, from bakery and meats to soups, sauces, and dressings. Key responsibilities Role Priorities (1 - 3 years) + Drive Market Growth: Lead growth in sustainable nutrition, aiming for market leadership in fermentation and preservatives. + Strategic Influence: Shape End-Use-Marketstrategies for a clear, competitive technology strategy. + Innovation and Value Proposition: Drive innovation for better taste and nutrition, communicating technology value. + Financial Optimization: Set target margins and pricing to optimize financial performance. + Demand Forecasting: Maintain long-term demand view for SKUs to inform supply planning. Key Individual Accountabilities + Product Strategy and Roadmap: Develop a clear product vision and strategy aligned with company goals. + Market Research and Analysis: Identify opportunities and competitive landscape for informed product decisions. + Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee product lifecycle, manage backlog, prioritize features, and ensure timely delivery. + Stakeholder Management: Engage with stakeholders for feedback, updates, and buy-in. + Performance Monitoring: Track KPIs to measure success and make data-driven adjustments. + Pricing Strategy and Management: Implement pricing strategies supporting profitability, informed by market analysis. + Technology Strategy: Define and align technology strategy with EUM and sub-region strategies. + Competitive Intelligence: Maintain competitive intelligence on technical and market positioning. + Product Performance: Enhance performance through differentiation and margin optimization. + Market Credibility: Build technology credibility and engage with key customers. + Product Readiness: Ensure market readiness for current and new products. Qualifications and skills + Education: Bachelor's degree in a business or technical field (or equivalent experience). Postgraduate/Master's qualification is desirable. + Experience: 8-10+ years in a senior leadership position within the food and beverage industry, with extensive knowledge of fermentation and preservative technologies. + Leadership: Proven experience in influencing senior leadership, managing ambiguity, and driving strategic initiatives. + Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of fermentation processes, clean-label ingredients, and their applications in food preservation.
