About this Opportunity
Inbound Supply, a Group Supply unit, is accountable for the Design, Management, and Control of the Inbound Supply Chain to Manufacturing.
We are now recruiting a Global Material Manager (GMM) with focus on Advanced Semiconductor category Dedicated IC (ASICs, FPGAs, Processors). The Global Material Manager has the responsibility for managing hardware component supplier base worldwide, securing both short and long-term material availability in the inbound supply chains. As GMM in Dedicated IC semiconductor domain, you will support Ericsson silicon strategy as well as key technology choices, by developing and implementing inbound supply strategies and lead the inbound supply work in your category. By establishing and maintaining relationships with suppliers on executive levels you will enable the right support level and prioritization from suppliers.
Your role will be to ensure supply capability by ensuring preventive and mitigating activities, designing robust supply chains as well as securing correct dimensioning and maintenance of inventories throughout the supply chain, enabling high-level supply chain resilience. You will represent Supply in cross-functional category management governance and supplier selection fora.
What you will do
• Review supplier capability and commitment to Ericsson forecasts, analyse potential risks and opportunities and drive supplier improvements.
• Develop market sensing and business intelligence process for your suppliers and categories.
• Ensure resilience buffer targets are defined, using the appropriate buffer model, and implemented in the category/supplier dimension.
• Establish strong interaction with key stakeholders in the R&D, product management and Sourcing functions.
• Lead the development and execution of semiconductor strategy to support Inbound strategies, relationship management, and risk mitigation.
The skills you bring
• MSc degree in science or equivalent
• Outstanding semiconductor industry and ecosystem knowledge as well as semiconductor technology supply management practices, standards, and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent knowledge of Sourcing and/or Supply process and strategy practices
• RAN/Radio domain experience as well as Ericsson portfolio knowledge
• Ability to build and handle long-term relationships with suppliers on executive levels.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Strong leadership skills.
