What You'll Do
Global IT Quality Assurance Chapter Lead position within BCG's Knowledge and Design portfolio. The role includes development activities in Test Automation, Test Driven Development, Behavior-driven Development, Scrum and other Agile practices. The responsibilities of the individual include enabling efficient processes within the Quality Assurance team of Knowledge and Design portfolio; coding, testing and maintaining software systems, while mentoring and building test capabilities of the Quality Assurance team.
You will help validate innovative AI frameworks that enhance knowledge discovery, research, and content synthesis through intuitive and user-friendly interfaces. You’ll focus on testing AI solutions that address specific research use cases by synthesizing expert knowledge, performing autonomous research via agentic workflows, and unlocking non-traditional data types for generative AI use. Your mission is to future-proof our generative AI infrastructure, ensuring its scalability, reusability, and robustness across the enterprise. This role is integral to the Knowledge function at BCG, as it directly impacts how our firm leverages AI to harness and amplify our collective expertise. By building AI agent workflows that tap into diverse and complex data types, you will enable the organization to unlock new levels of insight and efficiency. These frameworks will be critical in supporting BCG’s mission to remain at the forefront of knowledge management, enabling faster, more informed decision-making and driving significant value across the firm.
The main responsibilities for this position are to manage/lead testing project(s) independently by leveraging deep understanding of test planning, estimation, management, testing tools and approaches to manage multi-disciplinary projects, manage QA tasks of medium to large scale projects by defining test strategies and providing oversight to the teams on the overall execution. To be successful, this individual must have proven experience in defining test strategies for different engagements involving complex technology and business, and experience of building test assessment strategies for client project requirements. Individual must have experience of managing global projects and stake holders.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works with QA CoE team on defining the QA framework and its componentsProvides the means and the measures for testing all aspects of the product – both functionally and technically, as well as in terms of usability and user experience – to meet all the requirements of the solutionLeading the QA team, writes end-to-end test plans (functional and non-functional) and communicates them to the development team, third party vendors, and stakeholders (to the detail appropriate to the audience)Leads the QA team in the execution of test plans and manages all activities to ensure all the testing overall objectives (reliability, security, flexibility, scale ability and performance) are metSetting up all automated testing necessary for regression testing as appropriateIdentifying and logging potential quality issues and escalating for resolution to the tech dev. resourcesLogging, isolating, and documenting actions to replicate any issues or bugs discovered during testingTracks and monitors logged issues and bugs to ensure timely resolutionConfronted with technical challenges to ensure quality, must find creative, economical, and elegant solutions
What You'll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in related area5-7 years of experience in IT Service Delivery10+ years of experience in software development and quality assuranceSignificant experience holding product development specific QA roles.Has knowledge and experience with testing generative AI solutions and agentsSignificant experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python)Business intelligence and analytics product experience desirable.Experience in different software development models and life cycle, including continuous deliveryExperience working with end users, IT and vendor.Expertise in functional (manual and automated testing) and non-functional testing (automated unit testing; performance, load, and stress testing; and security testing)Experience working with QA testing framework and tools (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, Microsoft Coded UI etc.)Experience working with ANTS Memory/Performance profiler and Jetbrain Performance Profiler.Experience in mobile application development and quality assuranceExperience in Knowledge Management, generative AI, web application development, UX/UI, and/or API design is a plus.KEY COMPETENCIES:
