Business Responsibilities

Responsible Global Category buyer for turned , machined & forged parts Mentorship of assigned suppliers, Support for localization activityConducting market research for benchmarkingSupplier selection and Business awardingLeading Negotiation (Yearly price negotiation, cost benchmarking knowledge)Defining and Execution of Supplier and category strategyContinuous improvement mindset to bring in better process and solutions

Delivery Responsibilities

Responsible for capacity planning and contracting at suppliersAlignment with Project Purchasing  and Logistics team for capacity planning 

Managerial and Governance Responsibilities

Supplier mentorship (Single point of contact for all commercial related topics)Monitoring of Supplier performance (Nego results, NPD , Quality and delivery metrices)Monitoring of monthly KPIs, Data analytics and Management info sharingSupport internal stakeholders and develop supplier / Category strategy accordingly

Qualifications

Engineering (B.E. / B-Tech in Mechanical / Industrial), or MBA

 Overall Purchasing performance (Negotiation, RPP, Supplier Quality)

 Defining and execution of Supplier and Category strategy

Desired Experience

 Experience between 3 to 6 years in strategic purchasing along with Turned , machined and forging process know-how. Raw material know how would be added advantage.

 SAP (MM Module) knowledge

 Experience in dealing with Technical documents like BOMs, Drawings and Norms

Functional Skills/Competencies

 Negotiation skills

 High level knowledge of Microsoft Office systems like Advanced Excel skills, Excellent presentation skills

 Knowledge of Power BI would be added advantage
