Global Assistant Procurement Manager - Masterbatch

Main Job Purpose:

Lead the procurement activity of Masterbatch. Manage key supplier relationships, ensure value, service, quality delivery of the MB material. Help to scout new suppliers and perform sourcing, negotiation activities. Manage contract negotiation, lead, manage internal MB project implementation.

Key Accountabilities:

Driving MB Strategy:

Develop a deep understanding of the value chain for Masterbatch producers globally from feedstock to final productUnderstanding the Masterbatch market, Supply and Demand factors and refreshing the global Supplier Strategy for the portfolioSupport the Feedstock Procurement Manager in formulating and delivering the Masterbatch strategy across categories, encompassing Innovation, better buying opportunities, ZBB & other value delivery pillars globallyIdentify & understand the relevant contemporary technologies in the industry and within Unilever capability team, initiate steps for implementationCollaborate with cross functional teams to develop a long term strategic road map for the Portfolio

Better buying opportunities:

To support the Feedstock Manager in data management, price negotiation & benchmarking, RFQ and tender projects for maximum value creation to business.Manage pricing adjustment cycles with suppliers in an effective and efficient mannerLead negotiations with suppliers on cost models & periodical price negotiationsProject management to develop & drive projects from initiative to implementation to ensure OTIF

Operations:

Managing global markets, including LATAM, NAM, EU and across Middle east & AsiaResolve supply related issues, including unplanned spike in demand, out of stock situationsIdentify & agree with suppliers on investments required in the most cost-effective manner.Track pilots and support roll-out plan to ensure projects to be delivered on the KPIs

Experience Required:

University degreePrevious procurement experience preferredPlastics & Masterbatch materials knowledge is an advantageStrong Passion for driving radical change in new ecosystem of sourcingExperience in managing cross functional teams, multi supplier base procurement processesSuperior stakeholder management, both internal (across all hierarchies and functions) and external (with suppliers and consultants)Experience in Finance (Costing & Pricing) is a plusExcellent Excel / Presentation skillsStrong Analytical SkillsGood Communication Skills and able to work in fast paced environment and manage timelines
Excellent Excel & PowerPoint skillsExperience in commercial skillsExpertise in managing partnerships
