JOB SUMMARY:
The Functional Controller will create visibility on and analyze the operational and financial performance of its assigned function(s), as well as provide recommendations to the management team to enhance overall performance.
The Functional Controller will collaborate with local internal functions to ensure transparency and accuracy of information, develop/enhance management reports, monitor/control achievement of financial goals, support decision-making, implement key projects/initiatives, and foster financial awareness,
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, finance, accounting, business or related field requiredMaster’s degree in engineering, finance, business or related field is a plus7+ years of related work experience3+ years of work experience in Logistics is a plusIn-depth knowledge of accounting and financial principles is requiredStrong Excel skills are requiredProficiency with SAP is a plusProficiency with PowerBI is a plusProficiency with SQL/Python is a plusREQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:
Demonstrated effectiveness at reading, understanding, and impacting financial and operational information. Demonstrated experience in building financial and operational models and reporting structures from the ground up. Demonstrated strong business acumen and data-driven decision making.Ability to engage stakeholders in identifying and resolving complex business problems in a timely manner.Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to develop relationships across all levels in organization including regular communication with senior business leaders and Executive Committee members.Demonstrated effectiveness in “managing by influence” those of higher title and in different functional groups. Strong problem solving and organization skills.Excellent written and oral communication skills with attention to detail.Strong project management skills in development, coordination and management of project plans.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
