The TSI-TSR group focuses on central Shopping & Reservation components, providing assets and expertise to strategic programs like NDC-X, NDC, Nevio, Cloud, and Travel Platform. Within this group, the Data & Solution Management (TSR-DSM) group provides transversal services ranging from front-line support to functional architecture for Search, Pricing & Shopping, as well as technology expertise on cloud solutions around data storage and processing.
The TSA-TCH team is dedicated to TSR Shopping (ex-SSP) Pre-delivery activities for Travel Distribution business areas, contributing to many crucial projects such as NDC-X (a top TRD priority) that aims at embracing the IATA NDC (New Distribution Capability) standard and making it seamlessly available to the Travel Agent, alongside our GDS (Global Distribution System) content. The team consists of experienced Functional Architects playing key roles in leading studies with a focus on cross-functional solution analysis to build high-quality solutions for the E2E (end-to-end) flow (from search to after sales).
Common accountabilities
Proficient in technical knowledge to ensure team performs effectively.Is recognized as an expert in own area and may formally train Specialists/Senior Specialists.Understands how main business drivers may impact own area.Can assess problems with broad impact on the activity, improve processes, recommend solutions and risk mitigation plans.Able to communicate complex information.Works autonomously, based on management directions.Act as SSP functional architect representative internally and externally (involvement in enterprise level solution design).Specific accountabilities
Contribute to a strategic TRD program by designing high-quality travel platform solutions.Analyze needs and requirements from customers (airlines & travel sellers) implementing/adopting NDC.Propose functional/technical solution recommendations with supporting rationale for cross-organization, cross-functional solutions in collaboration with R&D teams.Identify areas of repeat/common use and improve the work of the department by building coherent, re-usable solution responses.Be accountable for providing information status to stakeholders on a regular and relevant basis at any stage of the engagement.Provide support and knowledge to Product, Sales and Account teams in functional, technical recommendation.Document and present solution recommendations to diverse audience including R&D top management, Experts, Architects, R&D delivery teams, Customers, Product Managers, Account managers.Hand-over solutions to delivery teams.Support new business opportunity studies when it comes to complex solutions.Suggest/propose ways to improve customer satisfaction.Work with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) organization as shared service team member.Handover the solution, when validated, to SAFe organizations when entering development phase.Develop, maintain and share solution analysis and expertise with the wider division.Define and execute the communication/training strategy within the team.Build and deliver training material: tutorials, user guide, videos for internal team training.Define, develop and implement communication between commercial organization and R&D organization on complex solution or escalation.Measure and improve
