The Formulations Product Development Co-op for Cytiva will be responsible for developing, manufacturing and characterizing nanoparticle formulations using NanoAssemblr platform. They will design and perform experiments (with input from supervisor) to support internal research and product development projects.

This position is part of the Cytiva Nanomedicine R&D team located in Vancouver, B.C. and will be on-site from September 1, 2025 - May 1, 2026.

What you will do:

Support development and production of novel lipid/polymer based nanoparticle formulations using the NanoAssemblr microfluidics-based manufacturing platform.

Determine the physical, chemical and stability properties of nanoparticle formulations.

Perform routine validation studies to support product development and engineering projects.

Prepare experimental plans, reports and technical presentations.

Who you are:

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's and Master's program in Chemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Nanotechnology or a related Life Sciences or Engineering discipline.

Experience in a laboratory environment and completion of at least one previous co-op assignment.

Experience with a range of chemical and biochemical techniques and analytical assays.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

Experience with nanoparticles and polymer chemistry fundamentals.

Experience with nucleic acids and related molecular biology techniques.

The annual salary range for this role is 40k-50k CAD/year This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
