Finance Manager for Accounts Payable (North America)

What you'll do

Within Global Finance Success (GFS), the Procure Travel Pay (PTP) organization is responsible for the full cycle of operational procurement, accounts payable, travel and expense, and payments.

We are looking for a Finance Manager for Accounts Payable (AP) to lead the North America region. This leadership role will be based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and report to the Head of Accounts Payable MEE & AMER. The manager will oversee a team of professionals responsible for all aspects of invoice processing, query resolution, compliance, and supplier engagement for the North America region.

 

Expectations and Tasks

· Manage and guide a regional Accounts Payable team, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant execution of all AP-related activities in alignment with PTP global standards.

· Drive continuous process improvements and digitalization initiatives across the region to improve efficiency, automation, and cost savings.

· Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and SLAs to ensure high-quality service delivery and performance transparency.

· Act as a key point of contact for escalations and resolve operational or stakeholder-related issues across the North American entities.

· Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team environment by providing coaching, development, and career growth opportunities.

· Partner with internal stakeholders across Finance, Procurement, Process Management, and IT to align regional execution with global strategies.

· Lead or contribute to global projects including system transitions, automation initiatives (e.g., Joule, AI tools) and SAP Runs SAP initiatives.

· Ensure audit compliance, internal controls, and support internal and external audit processes related to AP.

· Represent AP North America in cross-functional forums and collaborate with peer managers globally.

 

What you bring

· Successfully completed university degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field.

· Minimum 5 years of experience in finance operations, including at least 2 years in a people management role (team manager, team leader, coordinator).

· Solid understanding of Procure-Travel-Pay processes and best practices and strong knowledge of SAP systems (S/4HANA, Ariba, Fieldglass).

· Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills; fluent in English (spoken and written).

· Proven ability to lead teams, manage change, and drive performance in a dynamic, multicultural environment.

· Proactive, solution-oriented, and able to prioritize and make decisions independently.

· Advanced Excel skills and data-driven mindset; experience with automation tools or reporting dashboards is a plus.
