What you´ll do
As a Finance Associate you will join the financial reporting area within the ERAT team and may take a role as a content contributor and orchestrator for the preparation of:
SAP’s management report (“Lagebericht”),
Notes to the financial statements,
SAP’s annual report on form 20F,
ESEF/iXBRL reporting for SEC and ESMA,
The interim group reporting (Quarterly statement & Half-year Report).
The financial reporting area is furthermore responsible for:
Definition of SAP’s Non-GAAP metrics,
SAP’s segment reporting,
Cost classification topics,
Related party disclosures under IAS 24,
Compensation Report,
SAP’s Cash Flow Statement,
Coordination with SAP’s external auditor on financial reporting.
What you bring
University degree in business administration with focus in finance, accounting and/or auditing
Very good understanding in IFRS and further reporting regulations (DRS 20, ESMA and SEC rules preferred)
Experience as intern/working student in project management, coordination, and orchestration of corporate external reporting
fluent in German and English as external disclosures are prepared in both languages
Comfortable in interaction with senior internal and external stakeholder, such as executives, auditors, (internal) customers, etc.
Experience in analyzing, interpreting, and commenting national and international legal requirements.
Hands-on attitude and focus on problem-solving
Strong team player
1+ years practical experience as intern/working student in the area of accounting, external financial reporting, integrated reporting or auditing
Meet your Team
You are working in the External Reporting & Accounting Technology (ERAT) team within the Corporate Financial Reporting (CFR) department of SAP. This department is directly assigned to the CFO of SAP and is responsible for the completeness and correctness of SAP’s accounting and external group reporting under German and International law.
The ERAT team oversees and decides on disclosure requirements under IFRS, German/European and SEC rules for SAP Group Reporting including the preparation of interim and year-end reporting for financial and ESG matters. In addition, the team drives SAP runs SAP strategy by engaging with SAP IT and Product Development to drive digital transformation and automation at CFR
