Field Agronomist/Inżynier Doświadczalny (wielkopolskie, mazowieckie)
Job purpose:
To conduct field trials (for product development and registration) in a safe and efficient manner in Horticulture Crops, providing quality data for project decision making and transfer of knowledge
What you do:
Carry out allocated trials safely, efficiently and to a high standard in order to provide useable data for the process of registration of new and existing active substances/products and determine the validity of proof of concept projectsProvide all applicable safety regulations and procedures and aligned testing methodology (e.g. EPPO standards) and ensure continued complianceCreate protocols (for relevant disciplines) and provide in season support for peers (within the Field Agronomist team and in collaboration with Product Agronomy Hubs)Search for the best locations to conduct experiments depending on the purpose of the experimentMaintain good relations with the owners of actual and potential locationsActively transfer knowledge and observations from field trials on project developments to Product Agronomy Hubs and Commercial teamsMaintain own equipment to ensure accurate and safe application of chemicals to trials sites and storage facilities in a professional mannerArchive and analyze results of conducted experiments using relevant applications and databases to ensure data is available for Product Agronomy Hubs in order to develop new products Organise local trials visits by other company employeesActively participate in training, care and safety of temporary employees
Who you are:
University degree or equivalent in Agriculture, Horticulture or Biological Sciences; with focus on crop protection Minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience Knowledge of crops and practical cropping systems as well as experience with field trials and field testing methodology Excellent human relationship and social competence (team work skills) required Good organization and planning skills to manage allocated trial program Flexible and reliable person Good networking and communications skills Familiar with common IT applications including Microsoft Office and database systems Polish on native speaker level (C1/C2) Fluent in English – written and spoken Driving B category license valid in Poland (EU) BASIS Certificate in Crop Protection Relevant competence certificates for spraying
