The Facility Head is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and overall maintenance of all logistics and warehousing facilities. This role ensures that the physical infrastructure, safety standards, operational processes, and compliance requirements are upheld to support efficient logistics operations. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a strong background in facility and warehouse management.
Key Responsibilities:Manage and oversee the operations of all logistics facilities, including warehouses, loading docks, and distribution centers.
Ensure that facilities are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and safety.
Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.).
Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure alignment of facility operations with business needs.
Monitor and control budgets related to facility maintenance and improvement projects.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations (e.g., OSHA).
Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for facility-related services.
Lead facility improvement and expansion projects as needed.
Develop emergency preparedness and disaster recovery plans for the facilities.
Manage security protocols and surveillance systems.
Train and supervise facility support staff and maintenance teams.
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Logistics, or related field.
8+ years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Strong understanding of logistics operations and warehouse management.
Knowledge of building systems, maintenance procedures, and safety regulations.
Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
Proficiency in using facilities management software and tools.
Preferred:Certification in Facilities Management (e.g., FMP, CFM) is a plus.
Experience in lean warehouse operations or Six Sigma methodologies.
Working Conditions:On-site presence at logistics facilities is required.
May involve occasional travel to satellite sites or distribution centers.
Ability to respond to emergencies during off-hours.
