Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Adhere to all established Kerry LIFE Safety, Food Safety, GMP, HACCP, and processing policies with an eye towards Quality. Adhere to all LO/TO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures while performing work on equipment as required. Never take shortcuts or use improper tools/equipment that could compromise the safety of themselves or others. FACILITIES/B&G PROCESSES Performing routine inspections of equipment and facilities to identify and diagnose problems. Compressors & dryers, ensure system free of water Blowers, Hot water system JBC Chiller Oil tank system HVAC/Ventilation Docks/levelers/locks Roof & roof access Facility doors (man/rollup) Facility elevators Sprinkler & alarm system And other non-manufacturing auxiliary equipment Oversee all contracted facility support efforts with coordination with planning, inspection, and audits, such as: HVAC, docks, roofs, elevators, etc. Ensuring that all facility equipment is maintained according to safety regulations and standards. Performing electrical repairs and maintenance as needed. Perform mechanical repairs and maintenance as needed. Performing plumbing repairs and maintenance as needed Performing repairs and maintenance on various types of equipment and machines DUST COLLECTION PROCESSES As a Dust collection Maintenance Technician Lead, you will ensure the smooth operation of our aspiration system and related mechanical equipment including all filtration.  This includes, but is NOT limited to: Performing regular (continuous) services for our internal customers. Preventative maintenance procedures. Predictive maintenance procedures. Troubleshooting equipment breakdowns, dust collection anomalies, and material clogging issues.  Changing and maintaining dust collection filters. Work with team members to achieve the highest efficiency and performance of the dust collection aspiration systems and related equipment.  Communicate with production, maintenance, and sanitation on needs and upsets to the dust collection system. Completing daily performance documentation and filter inventory. Complete appropriate paperwork and work orders.  Manage confined space entries and complete confined space permits. Follow proper escalation protocols. Lead Maintenance dust collection technician and other support personnel in maintaining the dust collection equipment and filtration processes.

Key responsibilities

Minimum Requirements:

            Experience:

2-5 years of industrial maintenance experience. Mechanical knowledge of industrial machinery. Advanced mechanical aptitude Use of hand and powered tools. Read and comprehend complex manuals. Use of measuring tools, (tape measures, calipers, gauges). Reading mechanical schematics. Basic Electrical knowledge of industrial machinery. Basic wiring skills Electrical troubleshooting skills. Proper use of electrical meters.   Reading electrical schematics. Organizational skills & excellent communication skills are essential. Ability to read, write and communicate in English at a level to facilitate the understanding of the terminology of the job. Ability to comprehend and follow written and/or verbal procedures or instructions. Ability to be a team-player. Median computer and report writing skills. Effectively communicate with leadership across maintenance and other departments. Skills with leading others in small teams. 

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

Previous work experience within a food manufacturing and distribution environment. Skills in bulk material handling of powders a plus.

Food manufacturing plant Outside and in confined spaces Working at heights Working with PIT and aerial lifts 

 

Physical Requirements: Ability kneel, bend, squat, stoop, carry, reach, stand, grip, push, pull, arm extensions and perform elevated work.    Ability to work in hot, cold or wet environments. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Ability to work overtime and use a flexible schedule. Ability to walk up to 135 feet one way many times a day. Ability to continuously stand/walk up to 12 hours. Ability to climb stairs or ladder.

Qualifications and skills

The typical hiring range for this role is $36 to $40 per hour and is based on several factors including but not limited to education work experience, certifications, location, etc. In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).
