The hotel combines the best of lifestyle and boutique hotels with a contemporary and personal approach. The hotel offers 117 artistically inspired spacious guestrooms ranging between 27 and 36 sq m and 5 luxury suites ranging from 55 to 141 sq m.
The placement
‘Are you a Food Beverage enthusiast with a passion for service that would like to develop its qualities and skills in the world of food beverage?’
In the role of Food Beverage trainee, you will be part of our overall food beverage team. In this role, you will be responsible for all the admin parts of the department. and conduct extensive knowledge in food beverage products and wine food pairing. Other areas cover administrative tasks.
Main tasks
· Ensures the delivery of brand promise and provides exceptional guest service at all times
· Handles all guest and internal customer complaints and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, following through to make sure problems are resolved satisfactory.
· Responds to the results of the Audit and ensures that the relevant changes are implemented.
· Establishes a rapport with guests maintaining good customer relationships.
· Ensures that the minimum brand standards have been implemented.
· Works closely with the FB Management team, Service and Kitchen in a supportive and flexible manner focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of hotel guests.
· Responsible for utilization of HotSOS, for repairs and maintenance requests and communication of all guest complaints to the other hotel departments.
· Liaise with the other hotel departments on daily operations, marketing initiatives and financial reporting.
· Be a hands-on supervisor and be present upon request of the Director of Operations, especially during the busy periods.
· Exercises responsible behavior at all times and positively representing Andaz Amsterdam Prinsengracht and Hyatt International.
· Ensures high standards of personal presentation and grooming.
· Supports the action plans as a result of the Colleague Experience survey.
· Menu, email signatures and FB Collateral, designing and printing.
· Responsible for monitoring Kronos utilization and reporting default to the Director of Operations. Running daily timekeeping reports and forward this.
· Share revenue split between Prins Aap and events at the end of the month.
· Usage of Birchstreet for all FB items.
· Assist in inventory management.

· Preferably available for five months or longer.
· Proficiency in English is necessary, proficiency in Dutch is preferred.
