As the Director/Senior Director of Product Management for Concur Expense, you will set strategy and be accountable for execution of strategy, in alignment with the SAP Concur product strategy, for our flagship Concur Expense product. You will lead a team of Product Managers globally and drive delivery of this strategy, focusing on the user experience elements of the product.
Focusing on adoption, satisfaction, revenue, and ultimately profit for our portfolio. You will work both at a strategic and hands-on level, within Concur Product & Engineering, across other product teams to ensure that we have products that fit well within the SAP Suite, and are market leaders in countries and segments where we focus.
You must have a strong focus on outcomes, not outputs, ensuring we solve customer problems vs. simply shipping a collection of features. You will develop an understanding of the SAP Concur business, with an in-depth understanding of the Concur spend portfolio, competitive landscape, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats and speak to these with multiple audiences. This role reports to the SAP Concur Head of Spend Products.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS:
+ Build, coach and motivate a world class team of Product Managers, optimizing for work in a modern SaaS environment.
+ Embody the spirit of an Empowered Product Team, focusing on frequent product exploration, data-driven learnings, and product-led growth.
+ Coach and mentor Product Managers as we shift to this new Product Operating Model.
+ Anchor to the priority sequence of People > Product > Usage > Satisfaction > Revenue > Profit.
+ Ensure the right organizational construct, with clear responsibilities, accountability, and empowerment e.g., “don’t ship the org chart”.
+ Monitor, track, and report on progress towards roadmap goals.
+ Provide mentoring and management for team members through 1:1s and team coaching.
+ Contribute and/or drive product reviews.
+ Represent SAP as a thought leader, ambassador, and evangelist of Concur, especially Concur Expense.
QUALIFICATIONS:
+ 10 years in Product Management or a related field (Engineering, Product Portfolio Management, Solution Management, Product Marketing) with 5 years in a senior leadership position.
+ Proven track record of building a culture of excellence and high-impact delivery.
+ Demonstrated success recruiting and engaging individual contributors and/or leaders.
+ Experience delivering Software as a Service offerings to enterprise customers.
+ Ability to communicate vision and strategy effectively to the team, partners, and customers.
+ Ability to deliver high quality under deadline pressure, while juggling multiple tasks in complex environments.
+ Strong organizational skills.
+ Strong people leader, role-modeling SAP’s “how we run and lead” principles.
+ Intellectually rigorous with creative problem-solving ability.
+ Experience delivering software related to Travel, Expense, Accounting, or Procurement is required.
+ Experience managing global teams is desired but not required.
+ Experience leading Product teams in consumer-facing SaaS applications is strongly desired.

**Compensation Range Transparency** : SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $244,700 - $415,900 USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
